Q: What is a Certified KonMari Consultant?

A: A Certified KonMari Consultant is one who has gone through rigorous training by the KonMari Team. This includes a 2-day intensive training workshop, followed by many hours of practice sessions, form submissions, photo validations, online testing, and a final phone interview. All this is to ensure that the Consultant lives up to the Marie Kondo name and branding, and follows her strict policies and methods.  A Trainee is one who has completed the 2-day workshop and is currently working on the practice sessions in preparation for final Certification.

 

 

 

Q: How long will it take to tidy my home?

A: This is a very common question, but the answer is not that simple.  A complete tidying festival (all 5 categories) will take many committed hours. The number of hours depends on many factors, including the size of the home, the number of possessions, the client's ability to learn what sparks joy for them, and the client's availability. This is something that is discussed on a personal level during the initial phone consultation.

 

 

Q: Is this something I can do myself, or do I have to have a KonMari Consultant?

A: Of course tidying is something that you can do on your own! But for some, the whole task may seem overwhelming. People can reach stumbling blocks at any category. A Certified KonMari Consultant will act as a personal trainer, and help you through the categories, most likely in less time than it would take to do it yourself.
